Lián Amaris has 18 years of experience as a successful creative communicator with work in emerging technologies, gaming, performance, and storytelling. Since 2011, Lián has focused on audience engagement and communication in both startup and corporate spheres, earning coverage from The New York Times, Forbes, MSNBC, Mashable, The Drive, and more.
Lián has Master’s degrees in Interactive Telecommunications and in Performance Studies, both from NYU, where she focused on transmedia storytelling, immersive environments, and audience experience. She was a full-time professor of Performance Studies and New Media for three years, was a writing resident with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and spent several years as an editor and copywriter for media theorist Doug Rushkoff. Lián has created original content campaigns with partners including Kim Kardashian, Skydance, MGM, Philips, Apple, (RED), Google Play, Topps, and Honda. Lián is also a mother, watercolor painter, and student of Krav Maga.
